INFORMER
Production support, full CGI production, editing, sound design.
This FOOH (Fake-Out-of-Home) campaign for Informer, an innovative accounting service, focused on introducing the new Informer app, which allows users to upload receipts and submit them directly to the Belastingdienst. The project combined live-action footage with CGI to deliver a visually striking and concept-driven narrative.
All CG assets were created from scratch, from the individual receipts to the animated letter. I designed and implemented a custom simulation system for the receipts using particles, curves, and force fields to achieve natural motion and visual density. The letter animation was driven by a curve-based setup and refined with modifiers to give it a controlled yet fluid character.
I was responsible for lighting and rendering, ensuring seamless integration between CG elements and the live-action footage. All EXR files were delivered with the required passes, with render layers optimized to support an efficient compositing workflow. Throughout the project, I worked closely with the producer to align with client expectations and maintain production timelines.
The final video opens on a busy city scene that is gradually overwhelmed as receipts pour from the sky, flooding the environment in a surreal escalation. At the peak of the chaos, the protagonist activates the Informer app, triggering the receipts to be instantly absorbed into the phone. The sequence concludes with a blue envelope from the Belastingdienst emerging from the device and disappearing between the buildings, followed by a dynamic camera move.
